Llangoed Harvest Festival

A weekend to remember with two days of community apple pressing and tool sharpening, a village-wide scarecrow trail, our historic well celebration, dancing witches, a joyful harvest service, local produce, crafts, preserves and three incredible workshops.

Diolch to a fleet of volunteers who cheerfully jumped into every roll imaginable!

Local Groups, Produce and Craft

Sunday 19th October

🔸 9:30 to 10:00 - Diolchgarwch / Harvest Thanksgiving Service - an informal service with traditional thanksgiving hymns and presentation of the harvest as led by the Rev Lesley Rendle of Bro Seiriol

🔸 11:00 to 13:00 - Healthy Soil Workshop

🔸 13:00 - Gwrachod Eryri - dancing witches performance and workshop

🔸 14:00 to 16:00 - Permaculture Workshop

🔸 14:00 - Duck Race! 1st Llangoed Guides event at Pont y Rhyd

🔸 all throughout the day (10:00 to 16:00)

  • Community Apple Press - bring your apples and empty containers and together we will press your fruit into juice

  • Tool and Knife Sharpening - bring your dull gardening tools to be sharpened

  • Scarecrow Trail - scarecrows throughout the village

  • Stalls with local homemade crafts and products

  • Tea/coffee/cake with our Craft and Art Raffle

Saturday 18th October

🔸 11:00 - Historic Well Celebration - a floral well-dressing display with a procession and readings in Welsh & English.

🔸 13:00 to 15:00 - Composting Workshop

🔸 all throughout the day (10:00 to 16:00)
