Historic Well Celebration
Llangoed Harvest Festival

Saturday October 17th, 2026

Our fourth annual Well Celebration brought the community together once again at Llangoed’s historic village well. This year's floral well dressing featured a water pail — a simple, practical object connecting the water we draw for our own use with the water flowing through the landscape.

The gathering explored the pathways of water and people, above and below ground, and the connections between springs, wells, rivers and our sense of place. Words and readings from neighbours, friends and poets, past and present, accompanied our walk and celebration at the well.

Many thanks to everyone who helped create the floral display, walked, spoke, listened, brought gifts and contributed to this year's gathering. Special thanks to John Draper for the photographs.

A very special part of the Llangoed Harvest Festival.

With Thanks

The Llangoed Harvest Festival is supported by the Sustainable Development Fund, a Welsh Government initiative in the Isle of Anglesey Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB)
